Improving the View of Laser Vision Correction.
With CustomVue™ and Custom Cornea™ or Wavefront Guided laser vision correction, a new standard is established, providing a precise level of measurement and vision correction never before possible.
Wavefront Guided and Wavefront Optimized technology are advanced optics originally developed for use in high-powered telescopes like NASA’s Hubble Telescope. When viewing distant objects resolution diminishes as a result of micro-imperfections in the lenses of the telescopes. With the advent of Wavefront optics resolution is 25 times clearer. When implemented, Wavefront Guided Vision Correction transfers the improved resolution directly to the eye, generating vision considerably better than with standard methods used for traditional glasses and contact lenses.
Reach the full potential of your vision
The pattern of visual imperfections in the human eye is as unique as ones fingerprints. Before recent advancements in technology, doctors were only able to use standard measurements to correct vision, meaning that prescriptions could only provide a limited degree of correction regardless of an individual's needs.
Wavefront-guided laser vision correction allows us to measure these visual imperfections at 200 individual points, and generate a detailed map of the eye leading to a personalized treatment tailored for each eye. And when it comes to your eyes, one size does not fit all.
Great results by day and by night
One year after the CustomVue™ procedure, patients in a clinical study reported these great results without glasses or contact lenses:
- 100% could pass a driving test
- 98% could see 20/20 or better
- 70% could see 20/16 or better
In the clinical study, four times as many people were very satisfied with their night vision after the procedure as compared to their night vision before with glasses or contact lenses.
The IntraLase® Method for a Blade-Free LASIK Experience
The IntraLase method utilizes laser light to create the corneal flap, generally the most complicated portion of the LASIK Procedure. Once this is achieved the reshaping of the cornea can be performed. When the LASIK treatment is over, the laser-generated flap is repositioned.
Solomon Eye Associates is committed to providing you with the ultimate in comfort, safety, and outstanding vision. LASIK with IntraLase can help you achieve this, with the added assurance of being treated with the most advanced technology.
The IntraLase Method
Femtosecond technology is programmed to generate the precise dimensions of the flap based on the unique characteristics of each individual eye. Then the IntraLase laser creates your flap from within the body of the cornea - without penetrating the surface. How?
- First, pulses of laser position microscopic bubbles at the exact depth as determined by Dr. Solomon.
- Then, the laser passes painlessly through the cornea creating rows of bubbles just beneath the corneal surface as it moves back and forth across the eye in a uniform plane.
- Next, the IntraLase laser stacks bubbles around the corneal edge to create the flap. The angulation of the bubbles is adjusted by Dr. Solomon, and is individualized to the way your eye is shaped.
- The process takes less than 30 seconds from start to finish - and most importantly it is quiet and pain-free.

- Dr. Solomon then gently and carefully lifts the flap to allow for the second portion of your LASIK treatment. When treatment is complete, the flap easily slips back into position and rapidly begins to heal.
