Dr. Solomon is a board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Anterior Segment Surgery including Cataract and Refractive Surgery. As a native of Greenbelt, Dr. Solomon is a graduate with honors of the University of Maryland, College Park. He received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine, and completed his post-graduate training at the prestigious Casey Eye Institute and Devers Eye Institute of Portland, Oregon.
A fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and member of the distinguished Cornea Society, Dr. Solomon serves as an executive board member of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and maintains his affiliation with the University of Maryland as the Terps LASIK surgeon. He continues to remain active in the academic community as a Clinical Instructor at The Wilmer Eye Institute at The Johns Hopkins University. He also has been working closely with the leading manufactures of precision surgical equipment including instruments and intraocular lens implants, in an effort to improve surgical outcomes.
Dr. Solomon has distinguished himself as the youngest surgeon qualified to utilize all three FDA approved presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses, and was the first surgeon to perform wavefront-guided LASIK as part of a residency training program. Dr. Solomon's spirit and compassion extend beyond his achievement in the surgical theatre, and he has been acknowledged for his efforts by GQ magazine in their Men of the Year issue.

Dr Stephen Solomon is one of the most experienced eye surgeons in the area, having performed thousands of successful lens replacement surgeries since he began practicing four decades ago.
Dr. Solomon's education began after accepting an academic scholarship to the Temple University, Philadelphia, PA where he completed his Bachelors of Science in Biology. He continued his medical schooling at the Temple University School of Medicine, and an Ophthalmology Residency in the United States Public Health Services, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Solomon has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Doctors Community Hospital, Dimensions Surgical Center, and has served as chief ophthalmic consultant to the University of Maryland, Department of Athletics. Dr. Solomon is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
